✦ HANDCAST SOLID BRASS OPEN-WORK HANDLE WHERE SCULPTURE MEETS FUNCTION
Most handles cover the door. This one reveals it.
Cast in solid brass with flowing channels cut entirely through the metal, this open-work pull handle allows the door surface behind it whether white-painted wood, marble, natural oak, or linen-coloured plaster to become part of the design. The brass ribbons weave across the leaf-shaped form, catching light on their polished high points while dark oxidised shadows settle into every crevice between. The result changes with every angle, every light source, every time of day.
This is the handle for a space where the detail is the destination.

✦ THE OPEN-WORK DIFFERENCE
Unlike a solid pull handle, the open casting means this piece interacts with its environment. On a white door, the negative space reads as shadow. On a dark door, the cut-throughs glow. On a door with a visible wood grain or painted pattern, the brass frame it. No two installations look exactly the same.
✦ HANDMADE IN SMALL BATCHES
The open-work form requires a higher level of craft than a solid pull each piece is individually cast using a lost-wax process, then hand-finished to bring up the high points while darkening the recesses. Minor variations in the precise form of the channels and the depth of the patina between pieces are normal and intentional.

Care instructions
Wipe with a soft dry cloth. The open channels between the brass ribbons can accumulate dust use a soft brush (e.g. a clean paintbrush or makeup brush) to clean between the cast elements. Avoid water, harsh chemicals, and abrasive pads. The dark oxidised finish in the recesses is intentional do not attempt to polish it away. A light wax application to the raised surfaces can maintain the warm gold tone.
